I can’t work in a coffee shop – I find it too loud to work

I know this is meant to be the life for people who work from home, working from a coffee shop, but I can’t work in a coffee shop it is not working for me. I’m not only more introverted than many, but also highly sensitive to noise. So, there is the fan, and the coffee machine and the chatter.
I’m just about ok browsing through emails but realise I can’t do anything where I need to think.
This is quite an interesting observation for me. It never occurred to me that this would be difficult. that I can’t work in a coffee shop.
I guess it depends on what environment you come from. If you are used to (trying) to work in a noisy open plan office this must feel like a lovely place. But not, if, like me, you are used to silence.
So I’ll pack up my laptop and sit in the park for a while.
It’s a shame that I can’t work in a coffee shop as there is a lovely independent coffee shop near me – Havanas Coffee
But I’ll be back to the coffee shop, for coffee and to read a book or chat.  That works well for me. Just leave my writing to a quiet place.
