 I’m on holiday and so reading through magazines. In Elle magazine there was an article based on a survey of 2,000 Elle readers about turning 30. Most of them are choosing love and contentment over a career and the stress of success.

How different to when i was young in the 70s and 80s when women were striving for success at work and having to work twice as hard to get noticed at work. I remember gaining a promotion at work just a few weeks before I gave birth to my daughter and being told to return to work within 3 months, which Idid because

I thought this was the right thing to do. There are plenty of women like me who prioritised their career, because this is what we were encouraged to do and now envy younger women who are choosing what is right for them rather than feeling a need to be a trail blazer.
